Nepal working to measure the Everest height



 It has been about two years when Nepal was all set to measure the height of Mt. Everest. The survey department of Nepal gather all the required tools and equipment and went for the fieldwork to collect the data to define the actual height of Everest. It ha been decades since the actual height of the Mt. Everest was first announced. Now, Nepal has set foot to measure the height of Mt. Everest for the first time. Now as per the latest news, the required data has been collected for measurement and the department is at the final process of analysis.
Nepal might announce the new height of Mt. Everest soon after this pandemic is over.

The height of Mt. Everest has been a topic of a debate for a long time now. The current height of the world’s highest peak is 8848 metres which was measured in 1955 by a survey team from India. Since then, the height of 8848 metres has been set as the highest altitude of the world. 

Mount Everest is one of seven natural wonders of the world and a pride of Nepal. After the massive earthquake of 2015, there was a huge debate about the height of the mountain. Many believed that the powerful earthquake might have shrunken the height of the Mountain. On top of that, back in 2005, China measured the height from its end and declared that the height of the Everest is 8844.43 metres.  Earlier, the survey team from America has said the height of Mt. Everest is 8850 metres after measuring precisely using GPS equipment. There is a lot of confusion about the height of Mt. Everest. Now that Nepal has finally completed to collect the data to measure the height of the mountain, we will soon be finding out the actual height of  Mt. Everest. 

Every year Nepal receives hundreds of tourist arrival who travel to climb Mt. Everest. Many failed to their attempt to reach at the top. It takes months of physical preparation for the climbers to trek the summit. The climbers needs to get used to the oxygen level and the climatic conditions of the high altitude as well before they start the trek.
