Heritage sites in Kathmandu filled with daily visitors.


It has been a while since Nepal has ended the lockdown and the normal services has slowly resumed inside the nation. However, it did took some time for the tourism industry of Nepal to get back on track. Now after 8 months, the tourism activities are gradually being conducted all over Nepal skipping the risk zones and following all the health and safety guidelines as mentioned by Nepal Government.

As soon as the lockdown ended in Nepal, it did not take long time for the cultural and heritage sites to receive the local visitors. Actually these cultural and heritage sites are the part of local community, which is why you will always find the involvement of locals and their festivals and celebrations around most of these heritage sites when you visit to these places.

Now after 8 long months, these cultural and heritage sites are receiving quite a good number of daily visitors and making the capital, Kathmandu lively again. The areas like Basantapur, Patan, Bouddhanatha and different other local areas are filled with huge number of visitors daily as of now despite the pandemic. 

It is always refreshing to travel around theses cultural and heritage sites. 

Cultural and heritage sites has been one of the major tourist destinations specially inside Kathmandu. These sites has always been popular among the tourists who travel to Nepal for leisure from different parts of the world. Travelling around these cultural and heritage sites are always refreshing which is why you will find many locals visiting in a flock or even alone around these heritage sites. 

The pandemic and the lockdown has kept the people at home for months. Now after 8 months the situation seems to be slightly normal than it used to be and people are traveling around these heritage sites and nearby tourists destinations to get refreshed. Various news sources have reported that the number of visitors at different tourists destinations are increasing day by day. 

Apart from that, the international tourists from different parts of the world are now permitted to visit Nepal but only for trekking activities. As a result, the heritage sites and tourists destinations are only receiving domestic tourists as of now. 

Tihar- the second biggest festival of Nepal is just days away.

On the other hand, the festival of lights- Tihar which is the second biggest festival of Nepal is here and the local market streets of Ason and different other places are getting crowded. This is the time when every house in Nepal is covered in light which looks beautiful and provides a warm vibe. During this time, different tourist sites and heritage sites are also filled with lights and Diyos which makes traveling to these places much more refreshing. Many locals around the capital travel to different places just to capture the moment and feel the beauty. 

CCMC Nepal has suggested the Government to resume tourism activities.

However, the increasing number of involvement of domestic tourists has certainly provided a huge motivation of the domestic tourists but the absence of the international tourists is still hugely felt. Nepal Government might arrive with the new decisions about tourism inside the nation very soon or maybe after Tihar. The Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) has suggested the Nepal Government to resume tourism activities, so there is a chance that we might get something new from the government regarding the tourism inside the nation.
