Nepal out from UK red list| Visit to Nepal, a little more safe?

Well, It did take a while for this one but Nepal is officially set to be out of the red list countries zone set by the United Kingdom. The new provision by UK Government has cut off 47 countries and only 7 countries will be left on the red list.

Along with this news, the tourism board of Nepal (NTB) will also be participating in the upcoming Tourism Market 2021 which will be held on London from 1st November to 3rd.

What is a red list country?

As per UK Government, countries in red list are not recommended to be visited only except it is extremely necessary by the Government due to the covid-19 situation. Nepal is not included in the seven red list countries which means Nepal is out of the red list zone set by the UK Government.

The provision is set to come into effect from 11 October. Nepal will officially be out of red list zone once the provision comes into effect. Many travellers and visitors who are in Nepal were waiting for this news can now take a sigh of relief.

Now that the UK Government has decided to take Nepal out of the red zone, people arriving at UK from Nepal might not have to deal with all the travel and quarantine protocols. Anyone traveling to UK from Nepal will have to provide the fully vaccinated document as a proof.

Many online magazines and also the Tourism Board of Nepal has posted this news.

However, please wait for the official confirmation to be sure if you are traveling anytime soon. Please find the travel requirements for UK if you are traveling as well, for fully vaccinated, partially vaccinated and non vaccinated visitors from Nepal.

Is Nepal safe to travel in 2021?

Now that Nepal is out of red list zone, you can consider Nepal to be a little more safe than before when it comes to covid-19 situation. The widespread vaccination programs set by the Nepal Government did work out. As of writing, most of the Nepalese are now fully vaccinated.

Removal of Nepal from red list zone definitely creates a travel comfort for travellers from both countries. While anyone traveling from Nepal to UK might not have to stay a 10 day hotel quarantine, visitors from not just UK but all around the Globe can feel a little more safe now while traveling to Nepal.

On the other side, this might create a boost for the tourism industry of Nepal. Tourists from UK, if fully vaccinated can freely travel to Nepal and get easy access to on arrival visa with no mandatory hotel quarantine at all.
