Flight tickets mandatory during check-in for domestic flights in Nepal

Few weeks back, Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has released a notice which says that passengers should now show their tickets either in printed format or in a digital format (via mobile, tablets and likewise) for taking any domestic flights. The notice has made it clear that it is mandatory for passengers using domestic flights at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) to present their tickets while they check-in.

Most of the passengers today carry their tickets in digital formats, however it is said that some only show or provide PNR during the check-in while taking a domestic flights. As per the notice, it is hard to identify the passengers with just the PNR and for other safety reasons it has been made mandatory for passengers to provide their ticket while check-in.

The notice was released on Falgun 3, 2078 (Feb 15, 2022) and as per the notice issued by Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) the rule is implied from Falgun 7, 2078 (Feb 19, 2022). So passengers are no longer allowed to just board the flight with a PNR number, unless they provide a full ticket via printed format or in a digital format during the check-in.
