Buddha Air plans for Pokhara- Delhi regular flights

As per MyRepublica, Buddha Air- one of the leading domestic airlines of Nepal is planning for regular flights to New Delhi from Pokhara. Republica also mentioned that the airlines has plans to connect flights to other destinations of India, Dehradun being one of them.

As of now, there are not any direct flights from Pokhara to New Delhi or Vice versa. If Buddha Air is to operate this flight, this will be the first time the two major cities of Nepal and India will have a direct flight. Pokhara International Airport which is probably set to be the third International airport of Nepal is soon to be completed.

Pokhara is one of the major tourist destination of Nepal that receives quite a number of visitors every year. So connecting to New Delhi to operate direct flights seems to be promising. So if you are wondering if there are any direct flights to Pokhara to Delhi ot Vice versa then you might get your answer very soon.

However, the company needs to get approval from Civil  Aviation Authority of both countries CAAN and DGCA of India to operate the flights from Pokhara to Delhi. Myrepublica also mentioned that the Buddha air will be using the ATR 72 aircraft for the Pokhara- Delhi flights. This is the same aircraft which is used to operate Kathmandu- Vanaras flight.

This is not the first time that Buddha Air will be operating flights outside the territory of Nepal. The company has been successfully operating flights to Dehradun, Kolkata of India for a while now. Buddha Air is the only domestic airlines of Nepal to operate flights to India until now. So we can expect the Pokhara- Delhi flights to commence without any issues.

The detail news regarding this is yet to come. We might need to wait until the Pokhara International Airport starts operating.
