20 July, Hotels, Travel and Trekking agencies as well as restaurants opens from today as per the decision made by the government of Nepal. The related industries will have to follow all the safety protocols before getting back to business. The industry should be well prepared and take all the necessary precautions. Some of the companies and restaurants have already started to work by following the safety protocols.
It has been more than a week that the lockdown has ended. The number of corona infected people has been gradually increasing day by day and the corona infected getting lesser. This might be one of the reason that government has decided to get things back to normal. But this does not mean that the virus has stopped spreading. There are 100+ new cases everyday. Since, the end of lockdown, Kathmandu which used to have few to none cases has gained a few more infected people. So, the virus is still spreading. As of now, all infected are isolated. The concerned authorities are trying hard to make Kathmandu and other secured places, virus free zone.
However, the capital is gradually getting back to its normal state. Kathmandu is getting busier day by day. Several business, offices, industries are now open. The tourism industry, especially hotels, travel and trekking agencies are getting all ready to get back in the game. As per the decision made, these industries of the tourism sector opens from today. With this news, we can say that Nepal is now open for tourism. But travelling is only permitted to safe destination and areas. So, travel packages and destinations will definitely be limited. The air travel, both for domestic and international commercial airlines are set to resume from August 17th. Airlines are only permitted to fly to safe destinations.
The decision of the government to resume tourism industries and open Nepal for tourism can be more effective if the places which have zero infected people should be secured properly and declare it a safe zone. Well, if Kathmandu is properly secured and declared a safe zone then tourist who are planning to travel Nepal can feel safe to travel to Kathmandu. City tours and to experience the culture and tradition could be one of the major attraction for tourist as of now. Furthermore, autumn climbing is near, so far from the crowd to the mountains can be another option.
