Buddha air completes test flight


Buddha air, on June 26 completed a test flight for the preparation of the scheduled flight after covid-19. The airline has prepared their own safety protocols and submitted it to Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal for approval. These safety protocols were wisely followed during their test flight.

Air pilots, officials and staffs of the airlines who were part of the test flight all followed the safety protocols and preventive measures set by the airlines. The airlines made different rules from entry to boarding with necessary precautions while running the test flight. Some of the mandatory actions were, measuring temperature of the crew and passenger, sanitising passengers, crew and the aircraft, maintaining  a physical distance rule both in the aircraft and the vehicles used while boarding the passengers. All of officials and crew members of the flight wore face masks and gloves. 

Buddha air has prepared a directory of safety protocols. Some of the safety protocols are prohibition of aircraft toilet as well as other things which are used by majority of passengers, suspension of the catering service as the infection might spread from serving foods. Passengers with breathing issues or any signs of cough and cold cannot travel. Furthermore, the airlines has also set up a health test at its counter as a safety precautions. Once the passengers are inside the aircraft, they are not allowed to walk and move around until they land at the destination. The crew members and the airlines staff working in airport should also follow the safety measures. This directory of safety protocols has been submitted to CAAN and will be implemented until  the World Health Organisation announces the end if pandemic as mentioned by the airlines.  

The air travel operations are suspended till 22 July 2020 in Nepal. Domestic and International commercial flights are totally suspended.  The Government has allowed to resume public transportation within a district. After this announcement, there is a very high chance that the Government might resume the domestic flights anytime soon.
