On 18 JAN 2021, the Immigration Department of Nepal posted their updated notice regarding the arrival facilitation for anyone who is traveling to Nepal. The notice mentions the conditions for anyone who is traveling to Nepal. As per the notice, the conditions were set as per the decision taken on November 25 and December 25 of the year 2020.
Along with the common conditions as before like PCR negative report and likewise the notice also mentions the conditions regarding on arrival visa and more.
As per the notice,
• Non- resident Nepalese,
• Foreign nationals who holds diplomatic passports
• Foreigners working for UN agencies and international organizations
All of them along with their family members can obtain visa on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport.
Apart from them every other foreigners should obtain their visa from Nepal Diplomatic missions abroad or should have pre approval letter from the government authorities of Nepal for the visa on arrival. Hence, the entry and exit points will remain closed for the foreigners without the ore approval letter from the government authorities of Nepal.
Other than that, the notice also mentions about the emergency passport holders who are not allowed to get visa on arrival at the entry points. However, the Nepalese Diplomatic Mission is resumed as usual to issue the tourist entry visa
