Traveling around Nepal gets comfortable once again


 As per the decision of CDO'S, Night clubs, cinema halls, schools and colleges has been resumed after nearly a month of restrictions. With the recommendation from CCMC, the CDO'S of Kathmandu valley has relaxed other restrictions as well which was imposed recently due to the rice in COVID-19 cases. 

Well, the tourist accomodations were in full operation even during the smart lockdown. So there might not have been any major problems for the tourists who visited Nepal during the time period. However, if there are still any restricted services and accomodations then we can expect them to resume very soon now. 

From hotels, resorts tour and trekking activities along with the adventure has been running smoothly without any interruption for a while now. Having said that, the number of tourist arrival did decrease at the first month of 2022. 

Kathmandu is one of the major tourist destination of  Nepal and now that CDO's of the valley has decided to relax the restrictions, tourists who can now travel comfortably around the capital. 

How is the latest COVID-19 situation in Nepal?

The daily new cases of COVID-19 which crossed the mark of 10000 a couple of weeks back has now fallen down to kess than 500 cases. As of writing, the latest update of the daily new cases of COVID-19 was 491 which was recorded on saturday as per Ministry of Health and Population Nepal (MoHP). 

The decrease in the cases of COVID-19 has made CCMC to recommend CDO'S of Kathmandu valley to relax the imposed restrictions. Furthermore, if the situation keeps on improving like this, we can expect for other restrictions imposed by the Department of Immigration, Nepal to get relaxed as well. 

The immigration department has been providing visa on-arrival for fully vaccinated tourists who can provide the documents required as per the set guidelines. However, unvaccinated tourists or the ones who have not taken the complete vaccination are not eligible for on-arrival visa.

Now with all this on board, most of the travel and trekking destinations in Nepal are open and can be explored once again. So travel your plan but still consult with your travel agent and get latest updates before you head on. Some local destinations might have set their own COVID guidelines, so be aware and updated about that as well.
